All the troops that can be used for the Saga.

I have now finished a Wars of the Roses battle, which I have uploaded to my You Tube channel in a total of 12 parts. I used the Sword and Spear rules for the battle, and though I made many mistakes, it was a thoroughly enjoyable game.

I took the opportunity to deploy all my troops for this period, which of course relates to the fictional Saga of Yolare too. In all there are 552 figures on the table, which should be more than enough for my needs. I would like to add a couple of light artillery pieces at some point in the future.

And so here on parade are the future combatants in the Saga of Yolare.

The leader figures will be doubling up for the various Thrangs.

Walter de Cobham's retinue in black and amber is one of the two largest liveried forces.

That force is matched by Benedict Foxe's troops in blue and white.

Slightly smaller is the retinue of Godfrey Howard. Wearing green and white.

Also Ralph Lytton in Claret and blue.

Then come three lesser lords, with the Thrang Host and a unit of archers each.

A unit of unliveried mounted men at arms to provide the Thrang Host for a less important thrang.

Units of unliveried archers.

Unliveried spear men and crossbowmen.

The foot knights, they will be allocated to each retinue as required for a particular scenario or battle.

Same again with the bill men, they will be attached as required.

Some views looking along the parade.

So with all the troops now assembled, painted and ready for action, the Saga of Yolare can continue.
